Meet Our 2018 Master of Ceremonies
Steve Friedman has lived in New Hampshire since 1979. Before getting
into radio he represented Levi Strauss & Co. for 21 years in New
England. That was followed by a 4 year stint as the owner of Red,
White & Brew in Manchester, NH. For the past 18 years he has worked
in the world of radio advertising at 92.5 The River, a locally owned
& operated radio station serving Greater Boston, the Merrimack
Valley, North Shore and Southern New Hampshire. Steve is devoted to
helping local and regional businesses, and non-profit organizations
advance their mission & to promote their products/services and events.
He is a regular on the mic at ski and other local events and has a
true passion for giving back to the community.
Chili Fest Events
Chili Sampling & Judging:
The 2018 Chili Fest features two chili
tasting competitions, one for professionals and a second for amateurs.
Chilis will be judged by a panel of Celebrity Chefs and and cash prizes
totaling $1,000 will be awarded to the top three Amateur Chilis.
The top 3 Celebrity judged professional chilis will be awarded colorful banners and plaques.
There will be People's Choice and Best Booth Display winners in each category.
Chili Entry forms, judging criteria and entry rules are all available to be downloaded.
The Fire on the Mountain Trail 5K
The Henniker Rotary and New England College's Adventure Bound Program
will kick off Chili Fest with a 5K race on the slopes of Pats Peak.

The race will take place in the morning prior to the start of Chili
Fest and prizes will be awarded during the opening ceremony at 11:45 AM.
The Dave Chiasson Band with members of The McMurphys as special guests with continuous shows throughout the afternoon.
A variety of foodstuffs including kid friendly fare will be available
for purchase along with beverages, a Beer Wagon and ice cream
coordinated by Pats Peak.
NH State Liquor Commission "Fun in the Sun" Truck with special
giveaways and contests.
For The Kids
The KidZone: Noon - 4:30 PM
White Birch Community Center will coordinate a range of children's activities for kids
of all ages. White Birch has been providing quality child care for ages 12 months to
14 years old in Henniker for over 30 years. Children visiting with us at the White
Birch KidZone will enjoy stimulating activities, fun crafts and entertaining games.
White Birch is a 501C(3) nonprofit community center that provides social, education
and recreation programs for the local Henniker community.
Car Cruise In
Antique cars, trucks and other vehicles will be featured once again.
Be one of the first 100 cars to participate in the Classic Car Cruise In and get a car magnet,
entitling you to $2.00 off Chili Fest entry fee.

and to see who will be the Judge's and People's Choice Award
winners and which chili makers will win the Best Booth Display.
